Job Description:
The Scientific Content Creator is responsible for developing accessible, engaging, and rigorous scientific outreach materials tailored to both specialized and non-specialized audiences.
This role combines scientific knowledge and communication skills to transform complex topics into content that fosters interest and understanding in the field of optical metrology and its applications.
They work closely with product specialists, researchers, marketing specialists, and designers to produce content in various formats, including articles, brochures, technical documentation, videos, and social media posts.
Responsibilities:
• Content Development: Create scientific content in digital formats (blogs, social media, newsletters, videos) and traditional formats (brochures, white papers, case studies).
• Simplification of Complex Concepts: Adapt scientific topics to an understandable language for non-specialized audiences, ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Research and Analysis: Conduct research on current scientific topics, review studies, and work with experts to ensure content accuracy. Researching trends related to your field.
• Collaboration: Work in a team with product specialist, researchers, marketing experts, and designers to develop consistent and attractive communication campaigns.
• Coordinate and participate in science outreach events such as workshops, talks, and fairs, both in-person and online.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in science outreach, science communication, or science journalism.
• Experience in Optics, Metrology or Material Testing instruments is a plus.
• Strong understanding in metrology and optical measurements.
• Must be self-motivated, independent, possess strong personal communication skills (excellent communication and presentation skills are expected).
• Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to independently prioritize work and appropriate attention to detail.
• Strong English verbal and written
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Ability to generate innovative and engaging ideas for communicating scientific topics.
• Ability to quickly understand communication needs and adapt messages for diverse audiences.
• Motivation for working in an international technological environment of an SME with a strong growth.
