Located in the LIEGE Science Park, WIELANDTS UPMT is a growing innovative company working in expanding markets like virtual/augmented reality, automotive, space, defense. Known for the development of its own machining and optics replication technologies, the company works with major international companies within these sectors.
A highly skilled team is the basis of our company’s success. To become our new colleague, we are looking for a:  Process engineer.

Your tasks

By joining the technical team, your responsibilities will include the following:

• With our team of technicians, you develop the operating sequence according to the customer’s drawings and supervise the manufacturing of the specified optical and mechanical parts.
• Design of tools and assemblies (calculations and CAD)
• Programming of complex machining operations (CAM)
• You supervise the proper execution of manufacturing projects, from order taking to sending parts
• With our suppliers, you select and monitor the purchases of materials necessary for the manufacture of customer parts.
• You standardize and develop our manufacturing protocols
• You select, plan and operate control instruments
• In support of commercial activities, you provide your technical knowledge and make recommendations

Your profile and skills

• You have a master’s degree in engineering, preferably specialized in the fields of mechanics, electromechanics or aeronautics
• You have a good knowledge of machining processes (turning, milling, etc.)
• You have good knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
• Knowledge of mathematical programming is a plus (Matlab, Python, etc.)
• You have a good level of English
• You understand and learn quickly and well, and you are motivated by the technological aspects related to the manufacturing of complex parts
• You are rigorous, efficient and precise
• You like working in a small team and you communicate easily
• You have a first professional experience
