Summary and Role Purpose 

Ansys is seeking a highly curious, passionate, and data-driven Marketing Analytics Manager who will report into the Senior Manager Marketing Analytics & Insight. The ideal candidate will provide the marketing team and key stakeholders with data-driven insights that guide execution, optimization, and investment decisions. This candidate is an expert teaching about Marketing Data and possesses a strong reporting and data visualization background to unlock insights around marketing performance and impact across programs, strategies, investments, and datasets. This candidate can transform data into analytics and connect this data to effectively drive key business decisions. 

 
Key Duties and Responsibilities  

  
DATA & INSIGHTS 

  • Conducts analyses of marketing data which spans multiple platforms (Adobe Analytics, Pardot, Salesforce etc.) 
  • Translates complex data into a story that matches the audience 
  • Delivers data-driven insights and recommendations to marketing stakeholders 
  • Consistently delivers proactive insights to multiple levels of marketing stakeholders 
  • Performs ad hoc queries on the Marketing Data Warehouse using efficient SQL queries 
  • Work with large, complex data sets. Solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed. 
  • Builds and prototypes analysis pipeline iteratively to provide insights at scale 
  • Develops comprehensive knowledge of Ansys data structures and GTM (go to market) metrics  

ENABLEMENT 

  • Teaches all Marketing users how to best leverage the Marketing data and reporting solutions 
  • Creates a variety of enablement materials (video, live training, infographics, SharePoint site, etc.) to help Marketers take the data and insights into concrete actions in Marketing planning and execution 

MARKETING PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT 

  • Monitors, tracks, analyzes, and reports on the health of marketing performance, including conversions, pipeline contribution and campaign attribution 
  • Builds scorecards for marketing performance monitoring.  
  • Assists with the creation of measurement plans based on strategic imperatives, engagement/lead gen, communications objectives, and media strategies.  
  • Analyzes and interprets trends by channels, tactics, content types, and personas and translates into actionable insights to optimize campaign performance. 

REPORTING & DASHBOARDS 

  • Creates and maintains published data sources to power reporting products 
  • Creates, updates, and maintains reports and dashboards.  
  • Leverages data across various platforms and systems and using tools like Pardot, Salesforce, Excel, and Power BI. 
  • Partners with stakeholders to build reporting solutions that effectively answer their underlying business questions 
  • Works cross-functionally with marketing operations and other teams to validate & provide accurate metrics.  

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience 

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research or other closely related quantitative or business discipline 
  • 8+ years’ experience in marketing operations, marketing data analytics and marketing data insights 
  • Advanced experience with marketing technology and associated reporting tools including Salesforce, Pardot, Adobe Analytics, Power BI, etc. 
  • Advanced experience presenting, teaching and storytelling with data 
  • Advanced experience measuring and reporting sales and marketing activities  
  • Ability to creatively solve problems, deal with ambiguity and a fast-paced changing environment. 
  • Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Lifelong learner, demonstrated experience continuously learning new skills and technologies 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills 

  • Experience in a high-tech, software, SaaS company 
  • Advanced proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), web analytics, experimentation, and statistical analysis 
  • Advanced SQL proficiency 
  • Intermediate Data Engineering proficiency 
  • Intermediate R or Python proficiency 
  • Intermediate proficiency with Web Analytics tools
