The Amplitude group (430 employees), established in France and internationally around 3 operational subsidiaries (in France – Lisses and Bordeaux – and in the United States) and local subsidiaries (China, Germany, Korea, Japan), operates in the design, manufacture and distribution of ultra-fast lasers.

Its site located in Essonne (91) is dedicated to the design and manufacture, to measure, of large ultra-intense laser chains with ultra-short pulses, terawatts and petawatts for the scientific world (laboratories, universities, research centers, large programs, etc.). We are looking for a:

Laser Project Engineer (m/f)

Integrated into a team of around ten people and under the responsibility of the Laser Systems Production Manager, the engineer sought will be responsible for successfully producing ultra-intense laser systems, achieving the expected performance while respecting established specifications (budget, quality, deadline). These operations will lead to meeting significant technical challenges, mainly linked to the highly advanced technological nature of the products and the performance achieved, often unprecedented worldwide. The product portfolio offers great diversity both in terms of technologies (CEP lasers, Petawatt lasers, femtosecond and nanosecond lasers) and project size.

Your missions  :

-You will be required to develop the detailed specifications of the system, relying on the company’s other departments (Technical Manager, Optical Design Office, Mechanics, Purchasing department, Workshops).
-You are responsible for aligning laser systems and achieving performance.
-You ensure the installation of systems at our customers’ premises.
-You will be in direct contact with customers, including to ensure the necessary technical support during the warranty period, and in relation with other company departments involved.

Taking up the position is progressive, in two stages  :

-In a first step, the engineer will contribute to the realization of technological and technical solutions already developed.
-In a second stage, the engineer will be able to take technical responsibility for complete projects.

Profile sought  :

-Technical training with laser, optics or photonics option.
-Significant operational experience in the laser sector.
-A taste for experimentation is essential for a job dedicated 80% to optical alignment in the laboratory.
-You particularly enjoy working in a team.
-Organization, rigor, analytical and synthesis skills, and good interpersonal skills are essential in this position to succeed in a cutting-edge and innovative scientific environment.
-International activity leads to travel representing up to 25% of the time to our clients, mainly in Asia, Europe and North America.
-Proficiency in English (working language) is essential.

-CDI based in Lisses (near Evry, 91).
