That’s why we’re looking for a highly motivated individual who will support us as a Front-End Software Engineer on our photonic IC design software and play an important role in the further development of our products.

In this role, you’ll be working on IPKISS Canvas, our web-based GUI for designing photonic ICs in a schematic environment, as a complement to our Python framework, Luceda IPKISS.

Responsabilities:

– Participate in continuous improvement of software architecture and development processes.
– Deliver quality software to customers.
– Create quality assurance, increase test coverage, and create delivery infrastructure.
– Design and implement user-friendly and high-performance user interfaces.
– Interpret and translate user feedback into features.

Requeriments:

– You have a comprehensive understanding of software engineering and its best practices.
– You have a strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
– You are passionate about developing high-quality software that effectively addresses real-world problems.
– You are able to put yourself in a user’s shoes and understand how they will use our software.
– You are not afraid of working on a large, existing codebase.
– You possess a curious mindset and strive to comprehend the broader picture, consistently seeking answers to the “why” and “how” of our processes.
– You can think along with improving the software architecture, development processes, QA, and delivery infrastructure.
– You have experience in common software development tools such as IDEs, version control systems, continuous integration platforms, etc.

It’s a plus if:
– You have worked with component-based UI frameworks, such as React (preferred), Angular, Vue, etc…
– You have an interest in physics and the semiconductor industry.
– You have experience with Python.
