With this internship, we would like to create a prototype of the tooling (HDET – HSI Data Entry Tool) that can read, parse , write, import and export the corresponding hardware related data (such as IP address, DHCP options) to the desired location. The HSI entry tool is proposed to enable the non-HSI domain expert to update the HSI content. The prototype should meet the following requirements: The prototype should be implemented as a web service application (Front-end, backend and database). The application shall provide a simplified visualization of a system configuration, by abstracting all the software specific syntax spread in tens of intercorrelated files. The application shall have backend allowing to import and parse the hardware related data from different formats (e.g. excel files, xml and database). The application shall be user-friendly to support people in updating / adding the HSI data.
