The “Supply Chain International Projects” department at the Ingolstadt site is responsible for the logistical project coordination of international vehicle projects and for ensuring the associated parts supply in the pre-series phase.
In addition to conducting feasibility studies, the focus of vehicle project coordination is on collaboration in the portfolio strategy and the control and optimization of cross-site logistics processes for new xKD vehicle launches. The cross-departmental collaboration with numerous interface partners at home and abroad is particularly noteworthy here.
Administrative supply control in the pre-series phase is responsible for the timely, cost-effective and quality-appropriate supply of parts to the international production plants by sea and air freight from Europe. In addition to the functions of sea and air freight coordination, order and bottleneck management and scheduling control, the focus here is on technology and parts list coordination.
