Veldhoven, Netherlands, Europe

A cornerstone of optical research is a detailed understanding of advanced physical processes, such as non-linear white-light generation, XUV generation, coherence control, scatterometry, and interferometry. In this internship, you will: Develop analytical and/or numerical physical models to understand the behaviour of advanced light sources, Use your theoretical knowledge to optimize properties of optical systems, Explore novel optical metrology concepts, The assignment may be more analytically or numerically oriented, depending on your preference. You will work in a multidisciplinary team that has access to experimental setups, where theoretical insights can be explored in practice. Advanced simulations are enabled through ASML’s high-performance computational cluster.
