AUDI AG’s toolmaking department develops and produces forming tools for the production of body components. As a result of the increasing efficiency and electrification of the vehicle fleet and the lightweight construction concepts required for this, these components are increasingly being made from aluminum. Audi’s toolmaking department also supplies other brands within the VW Group such as Porsche and Lamborghini. In the toolmaking area, the production planning department serves as a link between the individual specialist departments and oversees the manufacture of the forming tools from the initial planning to the start of series production.
