The department deals with the development of connectivity, mobile communication and Car2X technologies. In addition to the development of active series projects and future vehicle projects, the department also deals with pre-development topics. New technologies such as V2X are in the preliminary stages of development and must therefore be examined for their potential. The new generations of V2X technology offer great potential for new applications in the field of vehicle communication. In order to be able to examine the new technology in more detail before the functions can be implemented in the vehicles, simulations are carried out with real traffic data. The simulation field is now to be expanded in order to develop new, innovative functions.
