Internship – Bac+4/+5 – Study of the diffusion of point defects using thermodynamic integration methods

The objective of the internship will be to deepen and develop these methods for calculating a diffusion coefficient. The course will begin by familiarizing yourself with the different calculation methods: calculation of defect energy, calculation of transition paths and phonon spectra. Then in a second part, the use and improvement of the process making it possible to determine temperature transition paths and finally lead to the construction of a diffusion model. In accordance with the commitments made by the CEA in favor of integration people with disabilities, this job is open to everyone. Participating in national protection, an administrative investigation is carried out for all CEA employees in order to ensure the integrity and security of the nation.
