As part of publicly funded projects, we are researching the use of superlubrication in plain bearings and are looking for student support in the form of a full-time internship from the summer semester of 2024 (beginning of March, April or May). The project will conduct experiments to achieve extremely low friction. A newly developed test stand with application-oriented plain bearing geometry is available for this purpose. The influence of the surface texture, the lubricant, the material pairing and the load should be examined. The place of work is the Fraunhofer IWS Dresden. The necessary technical support and cooperation with the university from Fraunhofer IWS is guaranteed.
