As an intern your assignment will be a continuation of previous work done on a self-aligning mechanical clamped lens mount. The assignment consists of: Testing the current design on performance and stability under transport and operational conditions, including organizing test facilities in- or outside ASML. Building a design calculation tool based on existing documentation and extend the model with impact of friction, clamping forces, stability, and cleanliness requirements. Reporting conclusions and give recommendation for improvements or propose alternative designs for further investigation.
