Job Summary:

We are seeking a Laser Process Scientist specialized in laser micromachining to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field and have significant experience in laser micromachining processes. Proficiency in Python programming, as well as skills in database management and algorithm development, is essential. This role involves leading the development and optimization of laser micromachining processes to ensure the precision, reliability, and quality of our technological solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, develop, and optimize laser micromachining processes in the laboratory.
  • Design and improve laser micromachining processes for various materials and applications.
  • Conduct thorough testing and characterization to ensure compliance with performance standards.
  • Analyze process data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and provide continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Develop and implement algorithms for the automation of laser micromachining processes.
  • Manage and maintain process databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to integrate micromachining processes into product development cycles.
  • Document procedures, results, and conclusions in detailed technical reports and present them to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in laser micromachining.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in laser micromachining processes.
  • Strong understanding of laser systems and micromachining processes.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, with experience in developing algorithms for process automation.
  • Experience in database management and data analysis tools (eg, Matlab, LabView, Python, C++).
  • Expertise in using laser micromachining equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document and present technical information clearly.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
