Responsabilities:
– Develop passive/active components for photonic application
– Develop design of experiment for characterization of photonic
components
– Understand/executing of foundry PDK for photonic development
– Management of communication with foundry PDK
– Management of communication with photonic design partners

Requirements:
– MSc/PhD in Physics, Photonic, Optic or Electrical Engineering
– In-depth knowledge of chip-level photonic design principles
– Experience in Lumerical simulation tools or equivalent
– Experience in using photonic foundry PDK
– Experienced in python coding for scientific application
– Experience in photonic layout IC software is a plus
– Proactive problem-solving skills
– Team-player in a dynamic working environment
– Professional working proficiency in English is mandatory
– Self-driven, creative and highly motivated
– Ability to work onsite in the office in Ulm
