SUMMARY

The Field Marketing Manager will develop, manage, and evolve strategic marketing programs for the Ansys Automotive team. The primary objective of the role is to drive growth and account expansion through successful campaign execution and understanding of key industry trends, strategic market opportunities and sales priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans (through account-based marketing strategies) to achieve sales and marketing objectives.
    • Identify new tactics to connect with all personas including users, managers and executives​.
    • Nurture existing leads throughout the customer journey that includes digital content, events, and other persona appropriate marketing methods.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Cultivate long-term relationships with sales, partnering with them to develop strategic initiatives for account growth and expansion.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to cultivate and manage relationships, including product marketing, corporate marketing, product management, etc. to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and strategy.
  • Budget Management:
    • Create and manage marketing program budget efficiently, allocating resources for maximum impact.
    • Evaluate all campaigns’ impact and ROI to determine the success and forecast for potential future investments.
  • Program Management:
    • Manage overall process of planning, organizing, and executing campaigns from start to finish.
    • Coordinate and execute events such as trade shows, conferences, and sponsorships to increase brand awareness and drive lead generation.
    • Provide stakeholder mapping via account intelligence and execute executive event experiences to build and progress relationships.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B and/or Account-based marketing (ABM), specifically within the software, hardware or automotive industry (OEM manufacturers, Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers, or technology providers)
  • Proven ability to work closely and successfully with a sales organization
  • Proven ability to successfully execute a variety of marketing programs, including targeted direct mail and email, field events, social media, executive engagements, awareness campaigns 
  • Ability to work very independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytics, reporting, and written communication skills
  • Rigorous attention to detail and focus on quality of deliverables

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Ability to earn trust through performance and relationship-building
  • Prior experience working in a technical business setting with engineers or in engineering simulation is a plus
