Job Description:
Working alongside the optical design and layout team, you will be making & analyzing measurements of optical chips, both for our R&D efforts (development of new sensors) and for the industrialization of our first product (Raman sensor).
Responsabilities:
o Characterize photonic integrated circuits (PICs) with standard optical interfacing (grating coupled, edge coupled, free-space) o Perform basic sensing measurements for R&D o Develop automated testing processes o Establish protocols for standardization • Analysis:
o Organize and process measurement data (when needed, develop processing scripts and algorithms) o Analyse data by correlating it with simulations and fabrication results o Perform yield analyses for design optimization o Contribute to risk analyses and design reviews to ensure the PICs meet the requirements for successful product integration • Reporting:
o Prepare and write technical reports
o Communicate results internally and externally (partners and clients) o Work closely with the rest of the optics team
Requirements:
Strong understanding of the fundamental concepts of optics and electromagnetics: MSc or equivalent experience. Industry experience would be a plus.
• Experience in photonic testing, proficiency with lab testing techniques and equipment including lasers, detectors, spectrometers, and precision positioning setups • Experience with the packaging of photonic chips would be a plus • Familiarity with integrated photonics would be a plus • Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication processes would be a plus • Good communication skills in English • Proactivity, creativity, and all the soft skills that will help build the success of InSpek with us!
