In the development phase of new vehicle projects, Controlling Body System Exterior is responsible for determining the individual material costs of assemblies and individual components such as bumpers, doors, roof systems or headlights.
As representatives of the finance department, we work in system teams together with our interface partners from development, procurement, production, logistics, quality and sales to develop economic and technical solutions.
By specifying target values, we proactively support the development process in the overall project. Our daily business includes tasks such as evaluating technical alternatives (design, benchmarks, new technologies) and the ongoing cost calculation of components along the development process.
Controlling Procurement forms the interface between procurement, general controlling and corporate planning. We are responsible for tracking the individual material costs of all Audi purchased parts, coordinate with procurement and prepare a monthly cost report including a preview and comparison with the budget. In addition, we determine raw material price effects and foreign currency requirements for purchased parts and coordinate the annual provision report.
