The Complete Vehicle Development division brings together all vehicle requirements and uses various development and control methods (central control, systems engineering, virtual development and artificial intelligence). The division is also responsible for architecture, integration and verification/validation management within technical development. If cars are to drive autonomously in the future, the systems must be networked securely and robustly. This gives rise to new challenges in terms of processes, methods and tools. The I/EG-Z department is also dealing with these challenges with regard to suitable processes, methods and tools for describing the integration, verification and validation of systems and product integrity (e.g. ensuring legal compliance and state of the art).
