Understand the problem of target localization using passive sensors, and master classic resolution methods. Observe the measurement error profiles and their deviation from the assumptions of the classic model. Formulate algorithmic approaches likely to robustify the processing (e.g. error correlation modeling). Design and model (MatLab or Python, even C++) the selected algorithms, and simulate a simplified environment for tests (scenario, performance measurements, etc.). Evaluate performance on representative simulated data. Write a study report and regular progress presentations.
