Zurich, Switzerland, Europe

You will join a collaborative team of scientists who develop and use molecular, deep sequencing, and bioinformatics methods to study microbiomes at the interface between foods and human health. You will develop and utilize multi-omics approaches to study microbiome functional interactions in foods and food systems. This will include use of technologies such as shotgun metagenome sequencing, nanopore or Pacbio sequencing, as well as Illumina marker-gene sequencing to study microbiomes within food systems. You will use QIIME 2 and other bioinformatics software for analysis and integration of microbiome datasets together with other data (e.g., enviornmental, metabolomics data, etc). You will design and conduct new studies in addition to analyzing existing sequence datasets.
