Postdocs in computational modelling of surface degradation and repair of wind turbine blades – DTU Wind

Your overall focus will be to develop and validate computational models of degradation of wind turbine blades, microplastic formation and evolution during the service time and maintenance of wind turbine blades. You will work with nearby colleagues, and with both academic and industrial partners in Denmark as well as abroad. Your primary tasks will be to: development of computational models of microplastic formation and detachment due to surface erosion and during repair of wind turbine blades, evaluation of volume and distribution of microplastics and its distribution over time, analysis of the effect of coatings properties, service conditions and maintenance technologies on the microplastics volume and distribution, validation of the results using experimental and industrial data.
