Postdoc Choice Modeling and Operations Research for EV Charging Behavior
Delft University of Technology
Delft, Netherlands, Europe

The post-doc will be the main researcher on the V2G-QUESTS project from the side of TU Delft. TU Delft is leading the project therefore communication with the different partners is very important. The main tasks that the post-doc needs to work on are: collecting stated choice data and estimating demand models that translate people’s mode choice as well as their willingness to do charging and discharging operations in their daily mobility patterns. Such choice models should then be integrated into optimization methods, also developed by this post-doc, whose objective is to maximize sustainability, acting on prices as well as power and transport systems supply. Therefore the ideal person to take on this research work is one who understands both the modeling of travel behavior (choice modeling) and the mathematical optimization of transport systems. This work will be done in collaboration with TU Graz and The University of Edinburgh with experts on power grid optimization.
