Combining measurement and calculation results of road and train traffic in an urban environment, based on long-term measurements. Modeling sound over larger distances where the ground provides sound scattering, for example to reduce the low-frequency noise of aircraft taking off. Modeling noise that comes from a three-dimensional geometry, such as a tunnel for a high-speed train, curved noise barriers on either side of a road, or a semi-open shooting range. Identification and classification of shooting noise, based on measurements and simulations. Noise radiation from bridges: modeling the noise effect of structural adjustments to the bridge. Noise due to vibrations: designing a measuring system for the transmission of vibrations, for example for pumps on board a ship.
