The current environment of the automotive industry is characterized by logistical challenges, such as the supply crisis for electronic components or the effects of the global corona pandemic on international supply chains. In the supply security team, we ensure the supply of parts to all Audi production plants worldwide within this challenging environment. In the event of limited capacities of our suppliers, we carry out demand capacity management in the medium term. In the event of short-term delivery bottlenecks due to, for example, fire or tool breakage, we ensure the supply of the affected Audi plants as part of bottleneck management by specifically prioritizing individual parts volumes and globally controlling material flows within the complex Audi supplier network. By allocating parts volumes to specific vehicles, we also make an important contribution to AUDI AG’s ambitious CO2 targets.

As an interface between logistics and adjacent departments, we work closely with the supply chain, plant logistics, procurement, sales and many others teams to find quick and sustainable solutions to supply problems.
