During your internship you will help prepare, set up and carry out these tests. There is also some maintenance involved in these machines. So there is a lot involved, such as tinkering, welding, drilling, working with hydraulics and so on! Sitting still will rarely happen. There is also room to develop your work preparation. You can then instruct your colleagues in a test, after which we will reflect on how it went. Depending on the training, we can offer a suitable range of tasks and further develop your skills. The SD lab is part of the Naval and Offshore Structures (NOS) department. NOS consists of approximately 50 people with different technical backgrounds. In the lab we work with a team of 3 colleagues, each with their own specialization. So you will work within a small diverse group. During the internship in the SD lab, there will be collaboration with the supervisor, among other things. Of course there is also time to work on assignments for school. With weekly progress meetings we ensure that you are comfortable with the job and can work on your assignment. You start each day together with your supervisor. This is the moment when the supervisor indicates what is planned for that day. You can also indicate here what your idea for the day is and come up with a plan together.
